Established in Paris in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, the brand developed into a global luxury powerhouse. Its royal heritage began when King Edward VII declared Cartier “the jeweller of kings and the king of jewellers” and commissioned 27 tiaras for his coronation.

Cartier became a pioneer in watchmaking, introducing the Santos in 1904, one of the first wristwatches designed for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. The brand later introduced the iconic rectangular Tank watch in 1917, inspired by the military tanks used during World War I. Cartier’s iconic pieces also include world-famous motifs and designs such as the Panther, introduced in 1914, and the Love Bracelet, designed by Aldo Cipullo in 1969.
