LCL Chic Algorithm #5 Angel Reese, Wii Sports Inspo jacket, iPhone 18 Duo

This lineup is a mix of technology, fashion, and pop culture. One of the things that stood out to me was the buzz around the iPhone 18 Duo because of its flip-phone concept, reimagined as an iPhone edition. I thought it was really interesting because Samsung has had a similar concept for a few years now.

Speaking of pop culture, the Wii Sports jacket fleece immediately caught my attention when it appeared on my Explore page, which is often how I discover things. It wasn’t AI, but it had “AI” written on it, and the concept was so fun to me. I would love to style a gaming-inspired look that plays on pop culture. I feel like Xbox and Wii Sports culture often get overlooked.

Then there was the GTA soundtrack, which had already been released. However, I created this during the time when it was first being released, so the timing was insane. The Duolingo fashion show was also talked about everywhere. It was definitely one of those moments that stood out.

The celebration of Beyoncé’s birthday album featured a unique Barbie and Bratz doll concept. The KidSuper collection also stood out to me because of its artistic, canvas-like approach. The bag itself felt like a canvas. I’ve seen more sticker-inspired designs on suitcase bags in the past, but I liked how KidSuper took a painterly approach, as he often does with many of his art-directed pieces.

The Mowalola x Jordan collection was another favorite of mine, especially the photoshoot. I know she doesn’t necessarily care about people discussing the influence of other brands on her work and how she flips those influences upside down, but I loved how this collection and collaboration felt like her own. At first glance, it wasn’t immediately obvious that she was tapping into the uniqueness of other brands.

I knew she had a strong design language, and you could see it in the almost surrealist, spooky, fantasy-dystopian world she created through the photoshoot. From the platinum, silver-toned sneakers engraved with her name to the red leather bomber jackets, everything felt so visually rich. I just loved everything about this collection and how she made it her own.
