For this specific outfit, I wanted to create a duo featuring trousers and a one-piece swimsuit. I mixed pieces from different brands, including a vintage Mexican swimsuit and Adidas pants featuring the colors of Mexico. I wanted to represent that connection through the look.

As you know, my diverse shapes and models also represent the world I envision for these illustrations. Moving forward, each look won’t be limited to one body type. I’m starting with two for now because that’s what I’m most comfortable with, but I want to continue expanding.

I’m also researching specific plus-size and fuller-bodied clothing brands because I want this to be a space where girls, guys, unisex dressers, they/them folks, and nonbinary people can discover cool resources and see themselves represented. I’ll be sharing brands and designers I’ve researched, highlighting what I’ve learned from them, and bringing those discoveries into my own styling.

This is the start of something, so don’t expect everything to happen overnight. I’m just getting started! 🖤
