It’s so critical to celebrate and honor our legends and icons. The more interviews I watch and music I hear from Dolly Parton, the more connected I become with her. She was an example of so much more than her music; she made an incredible impact through her work as a humanitarian. From giving out free books to creating Dollywood and collaborating with so many different artists, her influence reaches far beyond music.

I’ll be honest: I appreciate anyone who can stand behind a microphone and tell their full truth, showing us more than just the art they create. Even though I don’t have the biggest knowledge of country music, I see Dolly Parton as such an icon and an incredible example of what it means to use your platform to make an impact.
