The first fit is centered around 17th-century Scotland and Clan Campbell with a modern high-fashion interpretation. In the 1920s, Edward VIII, the Prince of Wales, adopted golf attire, transforming working-class knitwear into luxury fashion. The 18th-century jabot was influenced by 17th- and 18th-century European noblemen and was later adopted into 19th-century women’s wear.

WWII military aviation influenced the shearling-collared leather flight jacket, connecting it to mid-20th-century military wear. In the U.S. Army Air Forces, the Type B-3 jacket was used in the 1930s to keep bomber pilots warm at high altitudes.

Look 3

The subversion of power dressing is rooted in the 1980s, with the shirt, tie, and tailored look. The dramatic shoulder line helps exaggerate conformity into architectural armor. The Zoot Suit was another influence I found from the 1940s. It challenged societal norms through its theatrical proportions.
