The seamless transition from the 1960s fashion era into the pre–girl group pop era was reflected through the way fashion became a form of expression. This was one of the many layers explored in Anna Sui’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway collection. While the collection continued to draw inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s, it also referenced artists who challenged society’s conventional viewpoints. Specifically, Anna Sui mentioned Dennis Hopper, who purchased a ranch with his then-wife, Michelle Phillips, and created a creative colony that brought together filmmakers, artists, and musicians.

The collection centered around the prairie silhouette, reimagined through a variety of color palettes, prints, and styling choices.

Mesh layers of t-shirt, wrap skirt, wide-leg pants, and scarf in a bold Sedona Sunburst. A Terracotta Stripe pinafore and matching skirt ground the look in earthy warmth, while the Ombre Sunset dress is thrown

together with the Sedona Sunburst chunky sweater.

Look 1

The body-conscious floral dress featured a vibrant print with knotted tie details. It was paired with oversized cat-eye glasses and ankle-strap kitten heels, reinforcing the collection’s retro influence.

Look 2

The second look leaned more toward loungewear, featuring an open-front jacket with flared sleeves. The camisole-inspired tunic emphasized layered hemlines and was styled with flowing trousers, creating a relaxed yet refined silhouette.

Look 3

The sheer floral lace, embellished with three-dimensional appliqués and delicate tie closures, added a whimsical quality that almost glowed, making it easy to imagine photographing. Paired with cobalt blue eyeshadow and softly styled hair framing the face, the look felt effortlessly ethereal while maintaining the collection’s vintage-inspired aesthetic.
