An entrepreneur, an artist, a worldwide singer, Dua Lipa takes her love for literature to new heights. Lipa is originally from London, England, with Kosovo Albanian roots. She noted to Spotify

My mom would take me to the bookshop or the park, and I would spend the whole day reading. I connected with different stories, and I’ve loved books from that point on.

This began a love for books growing up, foreshadowing the future. Consistently carrying a book with her everywhere. In the new world where literature has been in danger, books have been taken off shelves, and there are no discussions in schools in Western culture. It really means a lot to me that she is doing this. This led to her Service 95 Book Club in 2023. The extension of the Service 95 Book Club is now called Manifesto Library.

Where is it?

The Manifesto Library will be set inside the Libraria Lello in Porto, a historic architectural place. Best known for the stunning views of literary history in a new auditorium.

Is it a permanent location?

Yes, it’s a permanent location that was launched June 27,2026.

What type of book themes?

The themes of power, control, voice, and memory in estimate 100 carefully picked books. In addition to freedom of expression, identity, race and gender, LGBTQIA+ experience, history, politics and social justice.
