The heat is said to hit differently in Lagos, Nigeria. A place of empowerment, culture, narrative, and collaboration comes together for Homecoming Lagos! Grace Ladoja crafted Homecoming Lagos in 2017, as the center of empowerment for African artists that are on the rise now, it’s a all day event from April 2nd-6th.

She had the chance to speak with Google Arts & Culture as a centerpiece of the Lagos Homecoming Festivals. She said the power and pay gap between men and women, and her Rising Star Award for Women in Music in 2017, took that ‘privilege ‘ to new heights. She not only wanted to build her own path but also set the tone for the future and the generations to come. As well as education to create space to learn and grow with the masterclass, workshops, and a place to showcase the growth.

Homecoming Lagos is the mix of the creative scene and the culture of the continent of Africa. Being able to show a space of knowledge and resource as well as other entrepreneurs that are reclaiming the narrative in the community. The collaborations are bar nun from fashions brands Nike to PDF Channel. Let’s finally get into the schedule of Homecoming Lagos: Live Show, summit, Hi-Fi (electronic music event DJs, Football Tournament and Art Tour go to @ourhomecoming to keep up on who performing. The mix of free and non free events ( don’t need a pass ) , the free include, Retail pop-ups, customisation workshops. Art installations & exhibitions The Football Tournament (still need ticket) and select community-driven events.

The live event is Sunday, April 5, 2026, doors open at 6:00 PM, performances start at 7:00 PM, and the venue will be announced. The Homecoming Summit Friday, April 3, 2026, and Venue announced soon. The Hi Fi event ( 18+) is happening on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 10:00PM and the venue annouced soon. The Football event is Saturday, April 4, 2026, and the time and location are to be announced. The Art Show is Thursday, April 2 – Saturday, April 4, 2026, and the time announcement coming soon.
