LCL Report: The Interactive Experience from : Van Cleef and Arpels poetry of time

Van Cleef & Arpels opens the new year with an interactive experience rich in history, anatomy of jewelry, and a signature of more than 50 pieces. Van Cleef & Arpels: Enchanting Time” exhibition. The dates span from January 16 to the summer of June 1st 2026 and are a free exhibition to the public. The highlighted pieces included the Potch Watch drawing of the Japanese Magician, the birds table clock, the secret watch, Cadena watch, skeleton watch, and the 100th an invert Potch watch to mention a few .

The Chinese Magician is centered around the innovations of “ arms in the air” now seen as the “double retrograde movement”. The minutes on one side and the hours on the other “dual movement” is connected to the Maison’s comment to passage of time in creation.

The Birds of the table clock set in the 1940s centered around the horological objects in nature and love themes. Representing “ Romantic fidelity” as the Lovebird. While the secret watch was launched in 1906 then updated in 1929. The stylistic touches were the yellow gold bouquet and the sapphire details on the diamonds.

The Skeketon linked to the mother-of-pearl. It wasn’t until 1979 featured yellow gold, white gold, rubies, rock crystal, and diamonds. Then the 100th anniversary celebration anniversary was featuring a wristwatch.

The. The “ Interplays of Colors” at the Salons centered around 1960s to 1970s is January 7th to April 10th.
