The beauty of the summer months is the emphasis on going outside, trying new things, and doing summer activities. Picnics are the first thing that comes to mind , enjoying nature, while taking time too slows down. According to the National Geographic Best of World 2023 list: Slovenia was the best for the “Nature” category.This lead me to Tivoli Park in Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia.

The park was started in 1813 with a greenhouse, pond, and several gardens. Jean Blanchard a French engineer centered the garden around two Ljubljana mansions and Joze Plecnik an established architect created the lavish green space.

If I were to walk for hours to find the perfect spot for a picnic I would bring these essentials. Arriving around sunset between 6-7 pm to see the beauty of the park. The Nike low dunk “Magma Orange” sneaker was my first piece matching color of the Prešeren Roses that spread throughout the park. I used a mix of both in the men’s and women’s garments starting with the women’s asymmetrical top from Maroske Peech. This top would look great with my Menswear Acne Studio long jean shorts or “jorts” . The jort is my latest early 2000s obsession which is the mix of both jeans and shorts. Based on Weather Spark in the summer months in Ljubljana, Slovenia can reach a high of 80’s but low of 50’s . To protect my skin I would use the Everyday by Unsun sunscreen and Kuboraum sunglasses. A light tote from Ganni will hold the memories taken with the Polaroid camera of the landscape while music plays with the mini Polaroid speaker. I kept the blue and orange color palette for the Janet & Jo nail polish featuring the Marc Jacobs studs and Eliou mini hoops earrings. I would spend my time reading the Low Dunk book fascinated by the imagery and history of the sneaker book while admiring the landscape above me. One thing that makes any outfit memorable are the photos taken with the views of Tivoli Park something you will never forget .
