Campaign check in : Willy Chavarria x Zara

Willy Chavarria takes a deep plunge into the pool in the latest campaign, featuring a collaboration with Zara. The latest pattern that I’ve seen is the consistent work with Zara. I will give my flowers to Bad Bunny when he did the Super Bowl, and instead of wearing a top luxury designer, he wore all pieces from Zara, representing a Spanish fashion brand. This is a shift in view of fast fashion. I personally feel like the most eco-centric fast fashion brands are Zara and potentially competitor H&M.

Back to the campaign, it is a refined uniform of Willy Chavarria. The mix of a clean leather or thick matte finish jacket and sports shorts. As well as the shoulder pad jacket and trousers suit. The look and feel I approach this collection is a mix of casual and formal wear that is styled for the occasion of streetwear that is elevated to the consumer who supports redefining the Mexican American wardrobe and experience.

Taking work clothes and making them fashion in this way is at the heart of my brand.

He told mission mag making his cultural upbringing at the center of his brand. As his mission is..

[I want] to create empowering clothing that is expressive in its approach to silhouette and fabrication. To infuse the emotion of art and modern politics into a reactionary story of the human will. To promote and partner with organizations that work towards achieving social justice.
