One of the first thing I did when I started my blog wasn’t going through my favorite go to sites Farfetch , or Ssense. It wasn’t even going to the mall to do research on the new and current brands.
I was in a room in Middle School finding a ways to rekindle my old hobbies of drawing. I started doing small illustration over top of 8 x 12inch shiny digital printer paper sheets. I would draw different outfits for practices with soft tip markers. I posted them on another website that wasn’t called Love Chic Lifestyle it was some name I can’t remember.
Now, a college student at SCAD and 4 years of foundation course. Which included drawing and the design basics to create different projects. I want to take my knowledge to fashion illustration to styling. Since styling fits or looks it a big part of my brand. I wanted to make an announcement of my start in doing set of 2 different fashion illustration along side the look.
On another note with the rise of ai. Even though I don’t use on this platform. I use ai for other design projects in the ideation process or mock up ai generated images. I’ve seen the different uses of Ai and see its benefits. There is still a part of me that loves the aspect of hand drawn and hand done design work.
For the fashion illustration set I wanted there to be a mix of at least 2 different body figures. I did this to represent switched of model not always being size 0-4 size (US size) . Majority of the piece have size range but the photograph only 1 or 2 specific size model. The next is a duplicate of the digital look I make on Smart Closet app. But I draw the design in a specific journal. The first draft is in pencil, next micron then color in color pencil or other coloring materials. I will over time change the perspective of model style images soon.
These are my first 2 of fashion illustration:
Pink Night Party
Escapism & Cover Art
